Storage and Thawing Recommendations
Keep Spoon Blossoms frozen in your freezer until ready to use. A day or two before you need your Spoon Blossoms, simply place each container in the refrigerator to thaw.
On the day of your event, place Spoon Blossoms directly on your serving plate and let stand at room temperature for 2 – 3 hours or more before guests arrive.
(A Tip for Thawing- place Spoon Blossoms near something warm to advance their room temperature spreadability…. a lamp, warm stove; make sure not to MELT!)
- Keep Frozen until ready to use
- Thaw in Refrigerator a day or two in advance of event
- Serve at Room Temperature(decorate with greenery)
Spoon Blossoms are able to sit out for several hours, the petals will spread best at room temperature. The blossom will glisten/shine in light, this is a sign they are ready to spread petal by petal!!
Special Note: If by chance you forget and need to use Spoon Blossoms right away, use your microwave but DO NOT MELT Spoon Blossoms!! Use the defrost program or reduce your power by half and microwave for 10-15 second intervals making sure not to melt, but soften.
Decorate Spoon Blossoms with greenery such as lemon leaves, rose leaves, or make your own with romaine lettuce.
